It lasted over a month and meant you couldn't by Frito Lay Canada products are grocery stores owned by Loblaws Companies Inc, which is the largest grocery retailed in Canada and includes several high profile chains including Zehrs, Superstore, No Frills and Maxi.
The battle between the companies started when Frito-Lay Canada tried to recoup some money due to higher production costs. They couldn't reach a deal with Loblaws and as a result, the snack aisles at several grocery stores appeared to be empty.
