Eliot Grondin of Sainte-Marie, Quebec is taking home a silver medal in the men's snowboard cross.
Speed skater Isabelle Weidemann also became Canada's first double medalist at this year's Games, after winning a silver in the women's 5,000 metres earlier today.
She also has a bronze for the women's 3,000 metres.
Canadian figure skater Keegan Messing finished 11th in men's singles at the Beijing Olympics, just three days after he arrived in China. The United States' Nathan Chen won gold with a total score of 332.60, followed by Japan's Yuma Kagiyama and Shoma Uno.
Canada has a total of 12 medals to date.
