JetBlue issues statement
A JetBlue pilot has been grounded after he was busted at Buffalo Niagara International Airport yesterday morning with a blood alcohol level "twice the legal limit,"
Both the airport and JetBlue issuing a statement saying 52 year old James Clifton was passing through security when a TSA agent "noticed he may have been impaired."
Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority police responded and the pilot was given a breathalyzer.
After registering a blood alcohol level of 0.17, Clifton was taken into custody and released to JetBlue security.
The FAA's legal limit for pilots is 0.04.
According to a police report, Clifton admitted to having 5 to 6 drinks the night before at dinner.
The release says Clifton was scheduled to fly to Fort Lauderdale.
