Port Colborne Fire and Emergency Services will be serving up some kitchen safety tips for Fire Prevention Week.
It's going to share lots of information about kitchen fires on it's social media pages over the next couple of days.
Fire Prevention Officer Charles Turpin says you need to stay in the kitchen and pay attention while you're cooking.
You should also keep flammable items such as dish towels, plastic utensils and loose fitting clothing away from the stove.
Fire Prevention Week kicked off on Sunday and it will wrap up this Saturday.
