The NRP arrested one person on Saturday while conducting Festive RIDE checks in St. Catharines and Niagara-on-the-Lake.
ST. CATHARINES/NOTL - Niagara Regional Police stopped 350 vehicles while conducting Festive RIDE programs in St. Catharines and Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Officers issued 10 breathalyzer tests on Saturday and only one driver failed. They were arrested and their licence has been suspended for 90-days. Their vehicle has also been impounded for a week.
Two other drivers registered an alert and had their licences suspended for three days.
The NRP would like to remind everyone that impaired driving is the leading criminal offence causing death in Canada.
