Niagara has made the switch to every-other-week garbage collection.
The region has introducing the new schedule this week to coincide with Waste Reduction Week.
Recycling and organics will still be collected weekly.
Residents will also be able to leave two bags or containers of garbage at the curb on their proper collection day.
Homeowners in Fort Erie, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Pelham, St. Catharines, Thorold, Wainfleet and West Lincoln will have their trash collected this week.
Those in Grimsby, Lincoln, Niagara Falls, Port Colborne and Welland will have to wait for next week.
All collection days will remain the same with the exception of Pelham and Wainfleet.
Pelham residents with a Wednesday collection day will now have their waste picked up on Mondays.
Everyone in Wainfleet will now have their waste collected on Mondays.
