Fifty Ontario fire departments to benefit from $250,000 donation from Enbridge Gas.
Wainfleet Fire and Emergency Services (WFES), is getting a boost from Enbridge Gas.
Through Safe Community Project Assist (SCPA), 50 Ontario fire departments will split a $250,000 donation from Enbridge Gas.
The program supplements existing training for volunteer and composite fire departments in region where Enbridge does business.
"At Enbridge Gas, safety is our priority. We’re proud to support Ontario firefighters who share our commitment to keeping our communities safe," says Bike Balkanci, Director, GTA West/Niagara Operations, Enbridge Gas.
The funds will cover the cost of educational materials for firefighters.
The SCPA kicked off in 2012, and since then, 244 grants have been provided to fire departments across Ontario to provide additional training to firefighters.
