Two day technical glitch grounds dozens of flights
Travellers flying with Sunwing are hoping they can get started on their holidays today.
The last two days have not been happy ones for several thousand Canadians dealing with delayed flights due to a technical problem at the airline.
Sunwing blames a network-wide ''system issue'' that led to delays on ''a number'' of Sunwing flights Sunday and yesterday, leading to long long lines at check-in and boarding.
The tour operator put some passengers up in a hotel Sunday night and told them to meet in the hotel lobby the next day at 8 am to board an airport shuttle.
One man says not a single soul from Sunwing appeared at the hotel.
The shuttle did arrive, but not until 2 p.m.
The departure board at Pearson is showing Sunwing flights that were delayed yesterday are scheduled to begin flying out this morning.
