Welland’s Manager of Recreation and Culture will be inducted into the Nova Scotia Sports Hall of Fame.
Richard Dalton used to live in the Maritime province.
He has three World Championship bronze medals for canoeing under his belt and he also competed in the Olympics back in 2004.
The induction ceremony in Halifax has been postponed to next year due to the pandemic.
