Trail to close until October 9th due to weather.
The City of Port Colborne says the Dain City Trail will be closed until October 9th.
The trail closed on September 20th to allow crews to replace sections of deteriorated asphalt, and was supposed to re-open on September 24th.
The City says the closure was extended due to "unforeseen circumstances and inclement weather."
The trail will be closed 24 hours a day including weekends, and signs will be posted at the entrances.
Cyclists who wish to commute between Port Colborne and Welland can travel on Elm Street.
