Police have charged a 22-year old man with impaired driving causing death
A cyclist is dead after a fatal hit and run in Niagara on the Lake.
Police were called late Friday night over reports of what was believed to have been a cyclist who was hit.
They arrived on scene in the Concession Road 6 area near Line 4 Road, and confirmed the cyclist had been killed.
Police add the driver of the vehicle involved drove off before emergency crews arrived, and didn't report the collision.
Police were able to find the vehicle and driver at another location in Niagara on the Lake, where he was arrested and the vehicle seized.
They've charged 22-year old Gavin Devries of Niagara on the Lake with failing to stop after accident resulting in death, and impaired operation causing death.
Police haven't given any detail of the cyclist killed.
They're asking any witnesses to come forward, as well as anyone who might have dashcam video to call them.
