Proposal to go before Fort Erie town council
The Crystal Beach BIA wants to create a Summer Beach Crawl atmosphere this summer.
A report will go to Fort Erie Town Council to consider a request from the BIA to temporarily close the north side of Erie Road on weekends throughout the summer.
The request to turn Erie Road into a one-way street will start at Ridgeway Road and end at Schooley Road with a westerly flow of traffic.
The town says pedestrians will have access to the north side of the street with vehicles occupying the south side of Erie Road.
The road closure would begin Fridays at approximately 5 p.m. and end Mondays at 7 a.m.
