19 year old killed in single vehicle crash
Police and EMS were called to Bertie Street between Concession Road and Douglas Street last night just after 10:00 after a black 4 door Infiniti crashed into a fire hydrant.
The driver, a 19 year old man from Fort Erie, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the driver's identity is not being released.
Detectives are appealing to members of the public who may have been in the area at the time of the collision.
Residents with CCTV footage that captures Bertie Street, Concession Road, and/or Douglas Street, and motorists who were in the area with an operational dash-camera, are encouraged to review their footage and contact the lead detective at 905-688-4111, option 3, badge 1009170 with any relevant information.
