The outbreak was declared after one staff member tested positive for the virus.
It was a community-acquired case, and there have been no other positive cases in the home.
Calling the outbreak after one case met the provincial guidelines to call an outbreak in a long-term care setting.
In-person visiting is still restricted to only one essential caregiver.
Derek McNally, Executive Vice President, Clinical Services and Chief Nursing Executive, commended his team for their efforts.
“The team in the Extended Care Unit has worked very hard to limit the spread of this highly contagious virus in the home and maintain a safe environment for the residents and staff.”
