Police found they were not authorized to have loaded guns
A man and woman from Virginia have been charged after border patrol at the Rainbow Bridge in New York found them with unauthorized guns.
Officers came across the 51-year old man and 27-year old woman, both from Richmond, on May 31st, after a narcotics dog alerted police to the vehicle.
Police found personal-use marijuana, but also two loaded guns, which both individuals were not allowed to have in New York.
Police add the couple was taken into custody, the guns turned over to police.
