Caucus gathered in Ottawa today to discuss the results of the recent election, and vote on whether they want the power to review O'Toole's leadership earlier than the scheduled 2023 review.
Before the meeting, he told reporters that he's optimistic about his future with the party.
MPs voted to conduct a review on the Tories leadership campaign and elect a caucus chair.
However, a vote on O'Toole's future with the Conservatives isn't expected just yet.
In order for a leadership review to be conducted, a formal request must be made by at least 20 percent of the caucus members.
