Community Curbside Giveaway Day being held on October 23rd.
Now's the time to get rid of usable items you no longer want.
The Fall 2021 Community Curbside Giveaway Day is being held on Saturday, October 23rd.
Rain or shine, residents can place unwanted items on their curbside from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. that day.
Jeff Guarasci, Community Development Coordinator and staff liaison for the Park in the City Committee says the event raises awareness about the issue of landfill diversion.
"The Curbside Giveaway Day makes donating convenient for many residents, is a fun way to spend a Saturday, and raises awareness about the need for landfill diversion in our community."
Participants are encouraged to leave unwanted items on their curbside with a sign that has the word "FREE."
Products should still be in good condition, and you're advised to keep sidewalks and fire hydrants clear.
Unclaimed items must be removed by 7:00 p.m.
A list of acceptable items can be found here.
