It's your chance to help raise money to reach homeless
Your chance to raise money to reach the homeless in Niagara is Saturday, February 22nd, with the Coldest Night of the Year walk.
Event Director Emily Fieguth says money buys food for the homeless, medical supplies, art and recreation activities, and the mobile closet.
She adds last year 427 people walked, starting at Market Square. "I would love if we topped that, and I would love if I had to go back to the city and say 'I'm sorry, Market Square is too small, it's not going to hold us, we need something bigger'. I would love that, make my life difficult."

"Some people like to get real creative with it, they want to do something, maybe they have a dress down day at school, maybe a dress down day at work, or they have a dress up day, and everyone chips in a few dollars towards it. There's so many things you can do, so it gives people lots of time."
There's also a fundraiser at the Niagara Ice Dog's game on February 8th.
