Provincial government reducing rate from 3.2 to 2.2% in last week's budget

Niagara West MPP Sam Oosterhoff, Acting regional Chair Rob Foster, and Lincoln Mayor Sandra Easton welcomed Associate Minister of Small Business Nina Tangri to Brick and Beam Coffee yesterday.
The government is reducing the small business income tax rate from 3.2 to 2.2% as of Canada Day, meaning provincially, and in Niagara, businesses benefit from $1.1-billion in additional tax relief.
The government is also putting in $9.4-million over three years, beginning this year, to renew grants for the Summer Company and Starter Company Plus programs, that includes the St. Catharines and Niagara Falls Small Business Enterprise Centres of Niagara.
