Indigenous Solidarity Day event to be held on June 21st at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre
The City of St. Catharines is teaming up with the Niagara Regional Native Centre for Indigenous Solidarity Day.
An event will take place on June 21st at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre.
It will include speakers like mayor Mat Siscoe and NRNC Interim Co-Executive Director Jessica Riel-Johns.
Attendees will also get to hear traditional music and check out an Indigenous artist vendor market.
DSBN and Niagara Catholic students will get to participate in a question and answer session with Snotty Nose Rez Kids, an Indigenous group from Kitimat, British Columbia.
There will also be a talent showcase starting at 6:00 p.m.
Tickets are free for the evening concert, but must be reserved online.
As well, the City will waive parking fees at all lots and metres that day, not including at garages and permit lots.
