Calling all artists!
The City of St. Catharines is looking for artistic works for the Annual Juried Art Exhibit.
This year's exhibit is titled "The Art of Resilience", and it will pay homage to how the community has banded together during the pandemic.
Acting Cultural Services Supervisor Kathleen Powell says she hopes the exhibit will give people a chance to connect.
"Over the past year, the community has been challenged in so many ways but has continued to show resilience in how it has adjusted to our changing world. This exhibit gives artists a chance to show what resilience looks like to them through their art. Art is a really terrific way for people to share their own experiences with others in a very personal and connected way."
Original artwork submissions created within the last three years from professional, student and amateur artists will be considered for the exhibit.
Artists will be paid a fee, and their work will be considered for acquisition in the City's Civic Arts Collection.
Submissions will be welcomed until June 21st.
