ONTARIO - Parents can expect the next round of the COVID-19 Child Benefit to arrive later this month.
In the Ontario budget, the Province announced the Child Benefit is doubling with the third round of payments. Parents can expect $400 per child this go around, with $500 for a child with special needs to help offset additional learning costs.
The money will automatically go into parents bank accounts starting on April 26th to anyone who received the support for learners payments. Parents who did not apply for or receive the Support for Learners program can apply for the new funding starting May 3 with a deadline of May 17.
This money is for every child between the aged 0 to grade 12. Children with special needs who are 21 years of age or younger will qualify for the $500.
