The rollover crash happened on Highway 406 in 2025, passenger was ejected, driver charged
A 19-year old St. Catharines woman has been charged following a single vehicle crash on the 406 that killed another young woman.
It was December 3, 2025, when police say a car heading south, near Third Avenue, went out of control and rolled into the centre ditch.
Police say an 18-year old from Thorold, in the back seat, was ejected and died at the scene.
A 20-year old woman from Welland, a front seat passenger, suffered minor injuries, as did the driver.
Police say after an extensive investigation, that driver has been charged with dangerous operation causing death, and bodily harm, she was released with an October court date.
