A local public school is reporting its first case of COVID-19, a day after the kids returned to class.
Parents with kids at Kate S. Durdan Public School in Niagara Falls were notified yesterday an individual at the school has tested positive for the virus.
Board officials say any staff or students required to self isolated have been notified.
They also assure parents the school has undergone a thorough cleaning.
The board says it will continue to work with Niagara Public Health to make sure our schools meet all the enhanced health and safety protocols.
