Real gross domestic product unchanged despite increased government and household spending
The Canadian economy stayed flat in the fourth quarter after five quarters of growth.
Statistics Canada says real gross domestic product was unchanged during the last three months of 2022.
This is despite higher household and government spending.
The number was brought down by lower business inventories and a decline in real business investment.
