Jeff Burch is calling on the OPP to investigate allegations of corruption within Niagara Region Headquarters.
The MPP for Niagara Centre sent a letter to OPP Commissioner Thomas Carrique earlier today.
The Ontario Ombudsman just recently released it's report titled "Inside Job." It says the hiring process was tainted back in 2016, when Carmen D'Angelo was hired on as the Chief Administrative Officer.
In his letter, Burch says anyone who exploits our democratic institutions for their own personal gain should be held accountable.
Regional Chair Jim Bradley has called for a special council meeting to discuss the report. It will be taking place tomorrow afternoon at 3:00 p.m.
