A researcher at Brock University is conducting a study to assist young people with Type 1 diabetes.
After Vanessa Sjaarda got diagnosed with the disease, she was encouraged to help others in her shoes.
The Applied Health Sciences student is looking for young adults between the ages of 18 and 30 to explore the traits they would want in a potential mentor.
The goal of the project is to design an intervention to assist people who are struggling.
Sjaarda is looking to examine what mentorship means to each participant.
People aged 18 to 30 with Type 1 diabetes who wish to participate in a Microsoft Teams interview about the project can email Sjaarda at vs15lv@brocku.ca by March 31st.
