Brock University has launched its annual Good Neighbour Campaign online this year.
But Director of Student Life Brad Clarke says the fall semester will be unlike any other due to the pandemic.
"Although the University has adapted its operations to support online learning and virtual student experiences, we expect that some off-campus students will still return to their rental accommodations in Niagara for a variety of reasons."
The Good Neighbour Guide has been posted on Brock's Neighbourhood Relations website.
It includes lots of information about local neighbourhoods, student life and resources for students and landlords.
Clarke says students moving to the area should embrace the Niagara community but we still need to be cautious as the COVID-19 pandemic continues.
This includes regular hand washing, practicing physical distancing and wearing a mask when you can't stay more than two metres apart from others.
You should also stay home if you feel sick and get tested if you start to experience COVID-19 symptoms.
