We currently have 11 school-related COVID-19 cases in Niagara.
The DSBN has reported six cases, Niagara Catholic is not far behind with four cases and Mon Avenir has only reported one case at this time.
The province says five of our local students have tested positive for the virus so far.
They all go to the following schools; Sir Winston Churchill Secondary in St. Catharines, Canadian Martyrs Catholic Elementary in St. Catharines, Holy Cross Catholic Secondary in St. Catharines, St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Elementary in Niagara Falls and l’École Élementaire Catholique Sacré-Coeur in Welland.
Six staff members have also been infected with the virus.
This includes three at Eastdale Secondary in Welland, one at Ferndale Public in Welland, one at William Hamilton Merritt Public in St. Catharines and one at Mary Ward Catholic Elementary in Niagara Falls.
