Braves Win World Series

First championship since 1995

The Atlanta Braves are the new World Series champions.

The Braves clobbered the Houston Astros 7-0 in Game 6 of the series.

Jorge Soler hit his third home run of the Series, and Max Fried threw six innings in what was the premier pitching performance of the Series.

The loss left Houston's 72-year-old Dusty Baker, a fan favourite, still seeking his first title as a manager.
