Body Found in Lake Ontario: NRP

Police were called to the scene near Stewart Road last night, working to sort through what happened

Police are looking into what happened after a body was found in Lake Ontario, near Stewart Road in Niagara on the Lake.

They were called there just before 7 last night.

Police do not know at this time who the person was, the body has been sent for an autopsy to confirm ID, but also cause of death and time of death.

Until they find that information, police cannot say if this was a suspicious death or natural causes.
