Grimsby woman found unconscious in the water.
A Grimsby woman has died after being pulled from the waters at Casablanca Beach in Grimsby.
Niagara Regional Police Constable Phil Gavin tells us around 9:45 a.m. on July 2nd, a woman in her 80s was found unconscious in the water.
The woman had been swimming a short time prior.
Bystanders attempted life saving efforts, which were continued by fire and emergency crews.
The woman was taken to hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Foul play is not suspected.
