Police believe girls tried to get liquor bottle from man before attack
Toronto police are revealing more details concerning the murder of a homeless man they say allegedly was committed by teenaged girls.
An expert in children's violence say it's atypical (something unusual for a certain group) to see a group of teen girls involved in that type of violence.
Police say eight girls ranging in age from 13 to 16 are charged with second-degree murder after they allegedly swarmed and stabbed the 59-year-old man, who later died in hospital.
Police believe the girls were trying to remove a liquor bottle from the man before they attacked him.
