Police say woman arrested not far from scene in St. Catharines
An attempted murder charge has been leveled against a St. Catharines woman.
Police were called at around 2:30 yesterday afternoon to reports of a stabbing in the Vintage Court and Louth Street area.
They found a woman with serious injuries, who was treated at the scene, then taken to an out-of-region hospital, treated, and then released.
Meanwhile, police found a suspect not far from the scene, and arrested the 40-year old woman.
She was held in custody pending a bail hearing today in St. Catharines.
Police add her name will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
