Public health officials are reporting a spike in the number of new COVID-19 cases in Niagara.
Niagara Region Public Health is confirming 43 new COVID-19 infections in the region.
The death toll remains at 422, and there are 14 COVID-19 patients within Niagara Health.
Five of the patients are in the ICU.
Throughout Niagara, there are 278 active cases and seven active outbreaks.
Over 674,000 vaccine doses have been administered in the region, with 73.5 percent of residents having one shot and 67.2 percent with a full set.
