Provincial and town money to expand both inside and out of Grimsby facility
A groundbreaking expansion and renovation of the Peach King Centre in Grimsby.
Mayor Jeff Jordan was joined by other dignitaries this morning, to start construction of the work, a $36.7-million investment between the Ontario government and Town of Grimsby.
The mayor says the project has been in the works for years, with expansion work to include a double gym, indoor walking track, youth centre, fitness amenities and upgrades to arena dressing rooms.
In 2021, the town received over $16-million from the province, which will help with outside improvements such as parking upgrades, new walkways, and infrastructure for active transportation.
The government adds the state-of-the-art facility will be where people can take classes, programs, and social activities.
