An uptick in the number of new local COVID-19 cases.
Niagara Region Public Health is reporting 25 new cases of COVID-19 today.
The death toll remains at 434 and there are 13 patients battling the virus in hospital.
Four of the patients are in the ICU, and 11 are unvaccinated.
Throughout Niagara, there are 7 active outbreaks and 179 active cases.
Over 717,000 vaccinations have been administered in the region.
About 76.4 percent of local residents have at least one dose, and 72.3 percent are fully immunized.
