24 New COVID Cases in Niagara, Death Toll Remains Steady

Niagara Public Health is reporting 24 new cases of COVID-19.

There were no new deaths, so the death toll remains at 369.

Thirteen people are fighting the virus in area hospitals.

Niagara has 167 active cases and 17 active outbreaks.

The most active cases is in St. Catharines, where there are 55 active cases.

There are two confirmed variant cases in Niagara, and 39 more undergoing testing.

The two cases are of the variant that originated in the U.K.

Throughout Ontario, there were 994 new cases and ten new deaths announced today.

There are 298 new cases in Toronto, 171 in Peel and 64 in York Region.

Police made the arrest with help from Niagara Parks police, finding fentanyl and cocaine earlier this week
