Officials reporting another COVID-19 death in Niagara, along with 23 new cases.
Another person has died of COVID-19 in Niagara.
Niagara Region Public Health has confirmed the death of a person in the 80+ age group, bringing the area's COVID-19 death toll to 430.
This comes as officials report 23 new cases of the virus in the region.
Niagara Health says there are 11 patients with the virus, and two are in the ICU.
Only one of the 11 patients received both vaccinations.
Throughout Niagara, there are nine active outbreaks and 242 active cases.
Over 701,000 shots have been administered in the region.
About 75.4 percent of Niagara residents have one jab and 70.3 percent have both.
