Police say they found fentanyl, cocaine, hydromorphone in Welland house, suspects held pending bail hearings
More fentanyl, cocaine and hydromorphone taken off the streets of Niagara by police.
Since June, the NRP have been monitoring certain drug activity in Welland, and were able to identify someone responsible.
Earlier today, police searched a home in the Niagara and Mill Street area, and found:
- 37.9 Grams of suspected fentanyl with an estimated street value of $7,580
- 47.4 grams of cocaine with an estimated street value of $4,740
- 56 tablets of hydromorphone (2mg) with an estimated street value of $280
- $840 in Canadian Currency
50-year old Jody L. Powell of Welland was charged, and had a bail hearing today.
- Possession of a schedule I substance FTP (Fentanyl)
- Possession of a schedule I substance FTP (Cocaine)
- Possession of a schedule I substance FTP (Opioid Hydromorphone)
- Possession of proceeds of crime under $5000
Police add 46-year old Archie G. Karr, also of Welland, is charged, and had a bail hearing today.
- Possession of a schedule I substance FTP (Fentanyl)
- Possession of a schedule I substance FTP (Cocaine)
- Possession of a schedule I substance FTP (Opioid Hydromorphone)
- Possession of proceeds of crime under $5000
- Fail to comply with probation order
