Those who have served in the Canadian military won't have to pay for public transit in Welland today.
Welland Transit and Niagara Region Transit will be offering free bus rides for army men and women in honour of Remembrance Day.
All they have to do is tell the bus driver when they board and they won't have to worry about paying.
Mayor Frank Campion says this is the city's way of thanking all of the brave men and women who have served.
"As a small token of gratitude and appreciation for your personal sacrifice and commitment to our country, we are pleased to provide the Ride for Free program to the men and women of the Canadian military."
