One of Niagara's newest cases of COVID-19 is travel related.
Acting Medical Officer of Health Dr. Mustafa Hirji says this person decided to go on vacation in another country and it was not the United States.
But he says this person did go into isolation once they returned home so there shouldn’t be any risk to the community.
They were one of the eight new cases reported by Niagara Region Public Health on Wednesday.
The federal government is advising against non-essential international travel due to the pandemic.
