The town of Fort Erie has several cooling spaces available for those looking to beat the heat.
You can visit the Leisureplex or one of the public libraries as long as you call ahead in advance and pass a COVID-19 screening.
The splash pads are also open from dusk to dawn with physical distancing measures in place.
Bay Beach is also open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. but only to resident season pass holders.
You can pickup a season pass at the Leisureplex on weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for the Niagara Region and its expected to last for the rest of the week.
