The Ford government's House Leader says we can expect an announcement in the next day or two
Paul Calandra hinting the Tories are looking to top up the current federal paid sick day program which many argued is insufficient because it only provides sick workers with up to $500 a week.
The top up would be a reversal for the Ford government who have long argued the federal program is enough.
But with rising cases of COVID, the Premier's own health advisors have said without paid sick days, many Ontarians will continue to go to work sick and spread the virus to others because they cant afford the time off.
