Province's pre-election budget prioritizes areas such as infrastructure and increasing the minimum wage.
Finance Minister Peter Bethlenfalvy has announced details of the province's 2022 budget.
Key priorities include investing $25.1 billion over the next ten years in a variety of highway projects, including improving the QEW Garden City Skyway and building Highway 413.
Other highlights include increasing the general minimum wage to $15.50 per hour on October 1st, cutting the gas tax to 5.7 cents per litre for six months beginning in July and a new Seniors at Home Tax Credit.
The Tories also say if elected in June, $4 billion will be invested to help bring high-speed internet access to every community in the province.
The document, which is set to serve as a platform for an election campaign expected to kick off next week, projects Ontario will be $19.9 billion in the red this year.
