Police in Niagara starting to use cameras often seen used by other police forces.
The NRPS says thanks to a provincial grant they're now using, in their traffic enforcement vehicles, in-car cameras, and Automatic Licence Plate readers.
The licence plate reader can help ID vehicles associated with missing or wanted people, stolen vehicles, or road infractions.
The in-car camera can give an objective presentation of interaction with police and the public.
The NRP say the technology is expected to be in full use by the fall.
