Victim hospitalized after suffering a serious stab wound

NRP are investigating a stabbing at Sherkston Shores over the weekend.

Police say it happened Saturday night just before 10:30 p.m. at the campground on Empire Road.

A 22 year old male victim suffered a serious stab wound and has since been transported to an out of region hospital for treatment.

Investigation determined there had been a fight near the basketball court in the campground involving a number of people.

One person was initially arrested at the scene but later released.

Police are continuing to investigate and develop suspect information.

They're asking anyone who was present at the time of the incident or who has video of the altercation to get in touch with them.
