Food Banks Concerned About Shortages Due to Mideast War

Niagara food banks are concerned they could also feel the brunt of the war in the Middle East.

A flood of new people to the region may soon seek assistance as grocery prices continue to increase.

Gas prices have skyrocketed right across the province with international concerns that the Strait of Hormuz could be compromised.

About 20% of the entire world's oil supply goes thru that narrow channel in the Persian Gulf.

All 12 municipalities are feeling the pinch, but Port Colborne has been hit particularly hard.
