U.S. Coast Guard says debris found suggests a 'catastrophic implosion'
A grim update on the search for the Titan submersible.
The U.S. Coast Guard says all five passengers are believed to be dead.
This comes after a debris field was found near the wreck of the Titanic earlier today.
Authorities say the debris is from the vessel, and they believe it may have experienced a 'catastrophic implosion.'
On Sunday, the submersive set off to explore the wreckage of the Titanic, but it lost contact two hours into its trip.
Earlier this week, aircrafts detected sounds, but officials say they don't think the noises were connected to the vessel.
OceanGate, the company that conducts expeditions to the Titanic wreck, has issued a statement mourning the loss of the men onboard.
