Police say no one was hurt
A Niagara Falls resident has been charged with impaired driving after a car crashed into a Welland home.
Police got the call just after 9, last night, about a car crashing into the house in the East Main Street and Golden Boulevard West area.
They found the 2015 jeep sitting on the wall, half of it inside the house, the driver ran off, but was caught a short distance away.
They've charged 27-year old Ashdon Wooldridge with:
- Impaired Operation of a Conveyance
- Dangerous Operation
- Operation While Prohibited
- Impaired Operation of a Conveyance – Exceed Blood Alcohol Concentration
- Fail to Remain at the Scene of an Accident
A bail hearing is planned for today.
Police add none of the occupants of the house were hurt, nor the driver, and the car will stay in the house until a structural engineer shows up.
